What is My Events and how does it differ from the current calendar listings?

SCHEDit is a social online tool allowing a user to integrate their social calendars and networks into one solution that enables easy activity management. You can analyze/discover event trends in the Boston community, add events to your My Events calendarand follow your friends' event activity.

My Events will not have restaurant listings or movie listings initially, however they will be included in the future. Also, if you want to create an event and/or promote your event listing, you will need to do so on http://calendar.boston.com.

Do I have to register for My Events powered by SCHEDit?

Registration is optional if you are interested in browsing event listings. If you want full access to all of the features within My Events powered by SCHEDit, you will need to register with your Facebook, Twitter or E-mail account.

Is registration free?

Registration is FREE. There is no charge to use this service.

What are the benefits of registering?

Registering will allow you to add events to your calendar and build a social network on Boston.com.

I am already registered on Boston.com. Do I have to use the same login information as Boston.com?

My Events powered by SCHEDit does not require you to use the same login information as your Boston.com account.

How do I reset my password for My Events powered by SCHEDit?

You can reset your password on My Events powered by SCHEDit by selecting your thumbnail image in the My Events navigation menu. This will bring you to your Account Settings.

  • Select "Change Password" checkbox
  • Enter your current password
  • Enter your new password
  • Confirm your new password
  • Select the "Save" button at the bottom of the page

How can I modify my account settings?

You can change your account settings at any time by selecting your thumbnail image in the My Events navigation menu. This will bring you to your Account Settings. Here you can change your email address, password, profile photo, notification settings and more.

How do I add or change my profile picture?

If you do not add a photo or would like to change the photo when you sign-up for My Events powered by SCHEDit, you do so on My Events powered by SCHEDit by selecting your thumbnail image in the My Events navigation menu. This will bring you to your Account Settings.

Can I use my Facebook or Twitter account to sign-in to My Events powered by SCHEDit?

In addition to an e-mail address, you have the ability to login and create a new account on My Events powered by SCHEDit with your Facebook or Twitter account.

What does the icon mean?

This icon indicates the number of total individuals that have added the event to their My Eventscalendar. This number is representative of attendees that have a My Eventspowered by SCHEDit account on Boston.com.

What does the icon mean?

This icon indicates the gender ratio of attendees for an event based on the number of attendees who have added the event to their My Events calendar. The icon is accompanied by a ratio that displays as female to male, respectively.

How do I add events to my calendar?

You can add any event to your My Events calendar by selecting the button. You will have the option to share this listing with your Facebook and/or Twitter networks before saving to your calendar.

How do I know who is attending an event?

All attendees are viewable for an event in the "Attendee Scroll". Placing your mouse arrow over an attendee image will reveal the user's name. If you click on the image, you will be directed to the user's profile page on My Events.

How do I Follow a place, team or person?

You have the ability to Follow a place, team or person through either their Profile page or from the Who to Follow page.

If you are on a profile page, select the button. A confirmation screen will appear to indicate you have successfully followed the person, place or team.

From the Who to Followpage, select the image of the person, place or team. You will see the same confirmation screen to indicate you have successfully followed.

Your Social Network will now display these additions to the "Following" attending scroll.

What is the Event Stream?

The Event Stream displays the timeline of event activity based on your Social Network. This means that if you are following a user on My Events then their interests and scheduled events will display in your Event Stream timeline. From here, you have the ability to learn more about what your network is doing as well as their interests. See Who is going to What!

How do I create an Event to be displayed on My Events?

Currently, you do not have the ability to add an event to the My Events platform. If you have any questions, please e-mail us at events@boston.com.

I created an event, however it is not appearing in the My Events listings.

Events created through the "Add your Event" feature on the Calendar powered by Zvents, will not display on the My Events powered by SCHEDit calendar. If you would like to add your event to the My Events powered by SCHEDit platform, please e-mail us at events@boston.com.

Who can see My Eventscalendar?

Everyone in your Social Network and out of your Social Network will be able to view your scheduled calendar of events. You do not have the ability to hide events scheduled to your calendar from public view. This means that anyone can see the events you have added to your calendar to attend.

Can I hide the events scheduled on the My Events calendar?
